The Cuyahoga Land Bank keeps busy in acquisition and demolition of abandoned and nuisance properties throughout the county. After each property is demolished, the contractors are required to properly grade the lot. During demolition, inspections occur before, during, and after to assure that the site is properly finished. On average, the grading of a lot requires approximately 200 square feet of fill after demolition! Each Cuyahoga Land Bank demolition must comply with all demolition specifications and a full site finish must be achieved. These standards allow for each vacant lot to be a candidate for land reuse after demolition.
