Houses around Ariel Castro’s Seymour Avenue home torn down

CLEVELAND — Crews began demolishing the two houses on either side of Ariel Castro’s former residence on Seymour Avenue around 7:30 a.m. Monday.

The demolitions, which drew multiple onlookers armed with cameras, took approximately three hours.

Reports have called for the lots to be converted into a community park or garden.
